Xavier and Sharon got married at Tuscan Rose in Bloem which once again prooved to be the perfect venue for an intimate wedding.

The two of you looked great and the dress designed and made in the Philippines was extra special, congratulations on a very special wedding day.

Leon & Adeline, the two of you where magic to photograph, I couldn't have asked for a friendlier and more easy going couple topped with a classic feel to the wedding day, just perfect.

Vaal de Sioleh just outside Parys provided a beautiful chapel and reception venue surrounded by some pretty unforgettable landscapes. The weather had us slightly worried for a while, but in the end played along for a perfect day.

Yolandie & Donovan, congrats once again on the wedding, thanks for having me and keep up the festive spirit!

The Eastern Free State is a magic area with stunning landscapes and many a fine wedding venue is located here.

Sian and Justin got at married Zuikerkop Country Game Lodge a few kilometers outside Clocolan. For a South African summers day it was surprisingly windy and chilly and no one escaped the rain that started right after the ceremony, but things eventually cleared up enough for some family portraits and to keep a nice bonfire going.

Justin looking spiffy in uniform is a member of the German military if I remember correctly and Sian, soft spoken and kind was the perfect combination for romantic wedding.

It seems being a British guy is the thing to be if you want to marry a South African girl.

Gary and Marilise, thank you for having me as your photographer, it was nice to experience your heartfelt friendliness and Gary, as ‘ex’ photographer, trusting me to take the shots as I saw them and not complicating matter. Much appreciated!

Striking in a dress designed by a long time friend, Jolanna looked like a bride that jumped out of a fashion magazine and if British humor is your cup of tea this was definitely the place to be. With Jeff of British heritage the only person that could possibly steal the show was Mr. Bean.

The ceremony and reception was held at Haldon House Bloemfontein.

Just outside Hobhouse, right on the Caledon river this family farm is probably one of the most picturesque wedding venues I’ve been privileged enough to take photos at.

It’s difficult to capture the essence of this place in a couple of photos, you have to be there to experience the texture and smell of the woodlands and the old mill.

Here are a few highlights.

Picking a few photos for this post seemed nearly impossible, I normally stick to 15, but this time it's simply not going to happen.

Lee & Roan got married in Rosendal this Saturday and on my way home, discovering my wallet missing before filling up in Senekal wasn't the only reason this wedding will go in the record books as one of the most memorable.

Perhaps it was the romantic setting, or the Oom (never got his name) I chatted with, himself a professional photographer all his life using Hasselblad, probably the best and most expensive cameras available. More than anything and most certainly, it was the delightful couple and their close nit family that added all the needed warmth to an otherwise chilly day.
